About Lakeside Township

Lakeside Township is located in Aitkin County, Minnesota along Lake Mille Lacs, the second-largest inland lake in Minnesota, and about 100 miles north of the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area. The population was 504 as of the 2020 Decennial Census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.8 square miles, consisting of 29.0 square miles of land and 7.8 square miles of water (21%).
